DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGIONAL

WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM KRAGUJEVAC

PROJECT LOCATION

Kragujevac Waste Management Region consists of five local administration units: City of Kragujevac and the municipalities of Aranđelovac, Topola, Knić and Rekovac. They all belong to Šumadija Region covering the total area of 2.347 km2 (Kragujevac – 835 km2, Arandjelovac 376 km2, Topola 357 km2, Knić 413 km2 and Rekovac 366 km2).  According to the Census in 2011, the region was populated by 273,263 inhabitants, out of which, 52% live in the City of Kragujevac.

OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

The overall objective of this project is to improve waste management in Serbia by the construction of adequate infrastructure for waste treatment based on the principle of proximity and self-sufficiency.

The purpose of this project is the development of technical documents for the Regional Waste Management System Kragujevac, including:

  • Feasibility Study with CBA
  • Conceptual design
  • Preliminary design
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Study
  • Conceptual design for Sorting centre and Transfer station in Topola
  • Design for Construction permit for Sorting centre and Transfer station in Topola
  • Design for Execution of works for Sorting centre and Transfer station in Topola
  • Tender dossier for Kragujevac Regional waste management system in accordance with EU standards/norms and rules of good engineering practice
